Link of High School to Future
Computer Science
So far in the Fall Semester for Computer Science I have learned to program in new softwares. I have learned useful vocabulary for programming that I didn't previously know and I have learned much needed knowledge for a future in programming.

Projects
Tiny House Project
The idea of this project was to create a design for a tiny house that would suit the time period and needs of either the author or one of the main characters of the book. We chose to do the main character of our book "The Catcher in the Rye." We tried our best to make the house seem more rustic because the book was dated in the 1940's 1950's time frame and we incorporated many of his personality traits through little details in the house. In the pictures you will see examples and there are explanations to each of these.

In this picture you can see the red hat that we decided to incorporate into the house design because it is a huge part of Holden's daily life, he takes it with him wherever and thinks he looks splendid in it.

This is a picture of the aerial view of the final product. You can see each individual room and the extra details put into the house. We wanted to go with a dorm/hotel styled living space because throughout the book he is living in nothing but dorms and hotels, so we thought it'd be best to stick with that style.

This shows how cluttered of a living space we wanted for Holden, not for him to feel cramped, but to not have extra space and make it simplistic for Holden because that is what he is used to within the story line.

This is the bar in the kitchen that we wanted to incorporate because Holden is a heavy drinker throughout the book and just about every time he goes out he tries to use his elderly looks to deceive the waiters into getting him a drink.

Maker Fair

This is my Maker Fair Project. I painted the letters and glued them onto the circular signs so they could be sold.

Robotics:
I did all of the programming for this project. The idea was to build a robot that can take and stack blocks in a goal to get more points that the opposing team. We did not win, but the experience was amazing and the girls and I want to do it again next year.
